Membership Classification

Regular Members

Must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• SHRM member,
• individuals engaged in the profession of HRM,
• certified by HRCI, faculty members holding assistant, associate or full professor rank in HRM or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university with at least 3 years experience in teaching,
• fulltime consultants with 3 years or more in HRM,
• full-time attorneys with 3 years or more in counseling and advising clients on HR matters, or
• unemployed members or applicants whose immediate past job met the regular requirements for a period of one year.

Regular members may vote and hold office in the Association.

Associate Members

In other than HR management positions and have a bona fide interest in Human Resources Management. Non-voting status and may not hold an office in the association.

Student/Retired

Enrolled in HR degree program at college or university level or retired from Human Resources management position and were regular or associate BAHRMA member at that time. May not vote or hold an office in the association.

Note: Membership is by the individual (not company). All memberships are subject to Board approval.
