Rebecca Nutt President Rebecca is the president of Agency 8 Recruiting, which provides a comprehensive range of Professional and Administrative recruiting and HR and Recruiting consulting services. Rebecca Nutt brings 11 years of Recruiting experience with a technical background and successful track record to Agency 8. She has written articles in the Houston Chronicle; speaking engagements on the “Emerging Workforce”, "Resume writing" and "Social Media for your job search (Linkedin)". She has Been a proud member and officer in BAHRMA for 7+ years; held the roles of:VP Membership (3 years) SHRM Ambassador and Director of Outreach 2010. She oversaw the Fall Conference in 2006, lead the Dress for success funraiser in 2007 and the NASA resume writing workshop and Transition team liason in 2010. She obtained a BBA in CIS from Texas State University and obtained her PHR in 2008. She married for true love and became a NUTT! She has 2 amazing daughters- Taylor 9 and Ava 6. She heavily supports Cerebral Palsy (Easter Seals) believes that life doesn't always go the way we plan, but we make the best of it and you never give up on the fight.

Brian S. Hayes, SPHR, IPMA-CP President Elect Brian has been employed with the City of League City, Texas, as the Director of Human Resources & Civil Service since April 2009. He is a human resource management professional with over 17 years of experience in the field. In his current role with League City, he supervises an HR leadership staff responsible for recruitment, employee relations, training and development, safety, and risk management for the approximate 450 employees of the City. Reporting to the City Manager, Brian provides leadership and direction to the City HR team and supports the operational goals of the Senior Leadership Team and their departments. He administers various human resources plans and procedures for all League City employees, assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, and prepares and maintains a departmental budget and operational plan that supports the overall City operational plan. Brian and his family moved to the Bay Area of Houston from Chattanooga, TN in 2006. He has previously held senior HR leadership roles in the food and chemical manufacturing fields, with companies such as Occidental Chemical Corporation's Houston Operations (OxyVinyls), McKee Foods Corporation in Collegedale, TN (makers of "Little Debbie" snack cakes), as well as, Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines, Inc. and Counterforce North America, a division of United Technologies Fire & Security, both located in Houston. Brian has previously served on the Board of Directors for SHRM Chattanooga, and was awarded the 2004 "Human Resource Management Excellence Award" given by the Tennessee State Human Resources Conference. Brian has been certified by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) since October 2000, and recently achieved his IPMA-CP certification in 2010. He was nominated for the Rising Star Award in 2011 presented by the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association (TMHRA), and affiliate of the Texas Municipal League.

Nancy Cross Treasurer Nancy Cross is the Vice President of Human Resources at Mexican Restaurants Inc. (MRI). MRI employees 2000 employees and operates locations in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The company consists of four full service mexican restaurant concepts and one fast casual concept with a total of fifty-five restaurants. Nancy has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources. In her current role she is responsible for benefits, payroll, employee relations, safety/risk management, property/causality insurance, training and recruiting. Nancy received her PHR in 1998. She is a member of SHRM, HR Houston and the National Restaurant Association. Nancy has been a member of BAHRMA since 2010 and has served on the board since February 2011. Nancy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University. She is from the Houston area and currently resides in Seabrook with her family. Nancy assists with several community outreach programs. In her spare time she enjoys hunting, fishing and running.

Paula Cross Vice President of Membership Paula Cross works with Benefit & Compensation Specialists, PLLC. She has been an account executive for over 15 years in the group benefits and insurance industry with companies such as Mercer H&B and Bowen Miclette & Britt. Paula specializes in fully insured and self-funded employee benefit plans for companies of all sizes and in various types of industries. Paula enjoys spending time with her husband of almost 17 years and 15 year old son. Paula has been on the BAHRMA board since 2009, where she started in the Programs Chair.
